Pro Pavement Services Ltd. offers comprehensive driveway paving services tailored to new construction projects, ongoing maintenance, and complete resurfacing or replacement.
Driveway Paving for New Construction
When constructing a new driveway the first step is to establish the desired grade and drainage. Next, an aggregate base course is placed to an average depth of 8” of ¾” gravel and compacted. Finally, a specifically designed asphalt mix is applied to present a finished surface based on the customer's needs. We use a durable HL3A hot mix design that offers more durability than the regular HL2A, HM3, and other driveway mix designs available.
Removal & Replacement (R&R) of Existing Asphalt
Over time, asphalt can deteriorate due to age, heavy use, or lack of maintenance. If a driveway reaches the end of its lifespan, our team will remove and replace the existing pavement. We ensure a stable foundation by verifying the 8-inch aggregate base, reusing existing gravel where possible, and reinforcing it as needed. A fresh asphalt layer is then applied, restoring your driveway to a smooth, durable, and visually appealing surface.
Proper Driveway Maintenance
After a new asphalt driveway has cured for approximately 6 months to a year, it can be sealed. You can take the DIY route with a contractor-grade sealant, or we can connect you with trusted professionals to do it for you. A good coal-tar emulsion sealer helps keep the sun from drying out the oils or binder from the asphalt and it also provides a watertight seal. Depending on usage and sun exposure, the sealer should be applied every 3 to 4 years. Maintenance is very important if you want to get the maximum lift out of your asphalt.
